Error message when SAVING after Inserting Silence in Sound Editor

Hooleo

Question

When I Insert Silence into an audio clip in Sound Editor all goes well and the silenced area sounds good (lack of noise) whether at the beginning or end of clip which is where I realy need it. The problem is when I try to save the project I get an error message, the save doesn't work and the project closes. This occurs 95% of the time. The messages says: "Roxio Sound Editor has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience". I can do any other type of editing with no problem saving untill I insert a Silence into the waveform. I have reinstalled Vs 8 of the software several times and no fixie. I'm using MS Win XP Media Center Edition Vs 2002 with Service Pack 2. on a Dell 520 with Pentium 4, 3GHz speed and 1 GB of ram. Can use advice. Regards, Hooleo

Not sure what's going on here.I got the same thing as you did.I was able to save the project if I put the silence in the actual body of the track. It must have to do with inserting it at the beginning or end.
