Simple Transitions

I recently installed EMC 9 after following the instructions for completely removing Roxio and doing a clean install posted by dlebryk in this forum. Everything went smoothly and the install appeared to work until I tried to use some of the features in Photosuite. Then I got a message asking me to install the content CD which I had already done.

 

After searching through the forums, it appears that I didn't completely remove EMC 7.5 and will need to start over.

 

My question is does EMC9 have the "Simple Transitions" option in its transition themes?

 

Somewhere in all of my searching I thought I saw a post saying that if you didn't have Roxio installed correctly you might not see all of the Transition Themes.

I believe that is correct the content needs fully installed

Also your video card needs to support Direct X 9.0b or higher for the 3d Transitions.

 

I'm not sure what you mean by simple transitions?

EMC 7.5 Videowave has a Transition Theme called "Simple Transitions", and that is what I really need in EMC 9. I was wondering if anyone would check and see if it is available in EMC 9.

It's called Simple Reveals in EMC7.5. I see most of them, and there are more transitions in EMC9.

I have already purchased and installed EMC. The problem is that I didn't get a clean install and when I use certain features in PhotoSuite, I get a message telling me to install the content CD. I read somewhere that if it wasn't loaded correctly; I might not see all of the transitions, and wonder if I am not seeing everything that is included.

 

I use Roxio mainly for VideoWave and it seems to be working ok, except that when I click on Transition Themes, I don't see anything called Simple Transitions or Simple Reveals. It was a mix of several of the basic transitions, and I need something like this for the projects I am working on.

 

In EMC 9, I see a list of 22 transition sets including one that has one called Random and one called Potluck. I have tried each of these and although they are good, none of them will work for my projects.

 

I just don't want to uninstall and reinstall if I am already seeing everything there is in the Transition Themes.

There are only 22 transition theme sets, but if you click on the Add Transition button, you should see about 246 transitions that you can use.

Sounds like a problem with video card or your system not meeting the minimum requirement.

 

Post your system spec and the type of video card you have.

22 sounds correct. On my laptop which only supports software render, there are only 15 transition 'themes'.
