Bob220
I installed ECDC 5 under Windows ME in 2001 and have a jewel case database of over 600 files. I did a clean install of Windows XP SP2 last week. I tried to install ECDC 5 after XP was up. After clicking "yes" to the install question, this msg appeared: "Easy CD Creator 5 is incompatible with this version of Windows. For more information, contact Roxio, Inc.." I was allowed to continue and the setup wizard was beginning to activate when it suddenly disappeared. There was no msg, nothing hung up, it just disappeared. After researching this forum I discovered that ECDC 5 is not supposed to run on XP SP2. I tried to uninstall SP2 and couldn't find it as a separate module as it is apparently integrated into XP on my installation disk. A friend is running ECDC 5 on XP SP2, but he installed XP several years ago, probably before SP2 was available. He has 3500 files in his jewel case database. I wonder if there is an ECDC 5 installation disk available with the 5.3.5 patch which enabled XP. I believe I would have a better chance with that. At present I have no way to access the jewel case database which took 6 years to build.
