compatibility question for archive

I am looking to archive my digital photograph library on DVD +R. Which program: direct-to-disc or data disc will give me greatest compatibility to be read on other machines? I'm using an OEM limited edition bought a year ago, but copyright dated 2004. Thank you.

Test the disc in as many different places as you can. You don't want to blindly assume you have a valid backup disc!

Not much help… (2.4.32 is not a valid version for any Roxio product)

The basic answer to you question is Data Disc! It is the only reliable form of backup.

OK, I'll use Data Disc. It did give me a warning that the resulting disc may not be compatible with all players, but I'll presume that should I need an archive, I'll find some maching that can read it.

 

As far as version goes, its an OEM and the name on the top border is "Roxio Creator - LE Dell Version" the 2.4.32 build comes from Help> About this software. Thanks!
