kmj6z@virginia.edu
The option for dolby digital sound is there, but when i choose it in project settings it reverts back to mpeg. Basically this means I cant burn a dvd correctly, cause mpeg makes the sound off from the audio because it is for PAL.
ggrussell
Since you have posted in other threads that you have MyDVD Essentials, I would say that option is not available to you. Dobly has to be licensed by the company so I'm sure they would only include in the more feature-rich products.

ggrussell
You should still have PCM which works perfectly fine in all DVD Players. I haven't seen MyDVD 8 Essentials on the website yet, so I don't really know what is included. I'm guessing that AC3 is not included because other companies charge just for the AC3 plugin. I can't believe the size difference is that much to make a big difference but I could be wrong.

JC
I tried just previewing the movie with that and the sound still doesnt line up with the audio why does this happen VideoWave/MyDVD Projects using DVR-MS files out of sync The information in this article applies to: Easy Media Creator 8 Applicable Operating Systems: Windows 2000 Professional Windows XP Home / Pro / Media Center Windows XP Professional x64 Edition Issue: When using DVR-MS files in a VideoWave or MyDVD, it is possible that the finished project is out of sync. That means the audio may be slightly ahead or behind the video that is shown. Solution: Please close any running instances of VideoWave or MyDVD and then download and install the following hotfix: http://tools.roxio.com/support/c8/dvrms_hotfix.exe Once the installation is complete you should be able to open your saved project and produce (VideoWave) or burn to disc (MyDVD) without experiencing this problem. ggrussell
maybe pal will still work on an american tv No, PAL will not work on American TVs. If you insert a PAL DVD into a DVD player in the USA, most players will come back with a disc error or just do nothing. I understand the players in Europe play both, but I haven't seen one here in the USA.
