marcus b
I've noticed that when a 'Mac & PC' CD is burnt with a volume name greater than 16 characters, a hidden autorun file is automatically added... Is this a bug? Does anybody know of a way around this? Thanks
freshburn
The autorun file is generated so that a volume name of more than 16 characters can be used. All that the autorun file contains is the full name of the disc being used. Otherwise, the name will be truncated to 16 characters as that is the windows limit. The autorun file will allow a much longer volume name. The only way to not get the auto run would be to enter a name less than 16 characters. marcus b
thanks for your reply - seems strange that there's no option to turn this off. I suppose we need to use the old 'custom hybrid' format for complete control...
