Click on My Computer, then right click on your hard drive and then select properties. You'll see a pie chart showing used and free space (and the size of the drive). Do a disk clean up. After that is done, click on Tools and then defragment. If you are running a notebook, the hard drives are usually pretty small. Take a look at external USB hard drive for your storage and back-up.
