Converting MP3 files to WAV audio files

iq=zero

Question

I am new to Roxio EMC9. What I want to do is quite simple.

I have all of my music stored on my hard disks in MP3 format.

I want to convert some tracks to WAV format and still store them on the hard disk but in a different directory. I have tried all of the different programmes and none appear to facilitate this.

I can convert MP3 tracks from CD's/DVD's and store on the hard disk, I can convert MP3 tracks from hard disk and burn to CD/DVD. But cannot figure out how to import from hard disk, convert and save to hard disk.

The only methods I have been able to fathom would be to convert and burn to CD then copy to my hard drive. or use the audio editor and save as a WAV file both of these methods seem a bit labour intensive

Thanks in advance

Sound Editor - add all the music to Sound Editor and then export to location and format of your choice.

Also, keep in mind that you gain no sound quality by converting from .mp3 to .wav, so if for the ones that you need .wav files, rip them to your hard drive as .wav files, from the CD that contains the song(s) that you want.

Thanks Skinis and Granpa Bruce.

Looks like I will have to do tracks one at a time using sound editor or use Nero.

Thanks for your help

You can batch them in Sound Editor, and Export them as whatever sound file type that you want.

Guess the OP missed the "ALL music" in my first post. :unsure: Perhaps I should have said "add every piece of music that you want to convert at one time ....". :rolleyes:
