malatekid
This is a long mp3 file that you want to split up? How about loading the mp3 file to Sound Editor and split it up there?
malatekid
hi thats the problem im not sure how to split them up.i tried using the lp and tape converter but they werent saved to my computer. coonsanders You're using the LP and Tape Assistant program? Did you follow the information given in the Recording Setup Guide? Also there is the Advanced Options button where you can specify track detection. sknis
hi when i record these file they are one long file on the cassette tape not like a a bunch of seperate files.i have my system configured correctly. coonsanders Put the file in Sound Editor, move the vertical bar to where you want to split the file by just clicking in that spot). Press split clip on the menu above the wave form. The clip will be split at the point you want it split. There will be a question window that you have to acknowledge. Look to the left and you'll see clip 1 (name of file) and clip 2 (name of file). On the bottom mix bar, select the rest of the clip by clicking on it. Go to the top window and click on it and repeat split clip as above. Learn to use both the top wave form and the bottom mix editor in conjunction with each other. When you have the file split as you need it, go to export tracks/clips. When the window opens, select clips at the top. They should all be listed. It is pretty self explanatory from there. Please come back and let us know if this works for you. Feedback is important since that is all the reward/redirection that posters get for posting answers.
