Capture Connection Problem

Hello

 

Here is my problem

Camera, Sony 403 E connected through USB.

Sony's Picture Package captures and copies videos from camera - no problem.

 

However EMC8, when I click the EMC8 Icon, click DVD & Video, Click capture, when Media Import opens

then under VIDEO combo box is empty.

So EMC8 does not see SONY at all

 

I installed update for Windows XP (KB885222) - no changes

 

I appreciate your help

Nope, it sure won't. If it is connected via USB, the software is looking for a webcam. Use the Sony software to download, then use the downloaded files in VideoWave for editing or in MyDVD for burning.

If you are talking about the Sony DCR-DVD403, just insert the miniDVD into your computer's DVD drive/burner and the use Media Import. The disc must be finalized in the camcorder first.

 

And as Bruce mentioned, you can also use the files transferred by the Sony software.
