Videowave won't open

munchkin

Question

I installed EMC 9 on my new Dell Inspiron E1705, which is running Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit. All programs work well except for anything to do with Videowave. When I try to access the program I get the following error:

?ArrangeButtonsInChain@CDSAppUtils@@SAJPAUIDSMenu@@_N@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library DSProjectUtilities9.dll

I have tried doing a repair install, with no luck. When I originally installed the program I followed the instructions to delete the Roxio programs that came with the computer to perform a clean install of EMC 9. Since I wondered if this issue was related to Vista, I tried installing the program on my old Windows XP machine. Everything installed with no problem, including Videowave.

My main reason for using Roxio software is that I like the Videowave program. If that isn't functional then the software is useless to me. Can someone please help me get this to work?

I honestly don't know what that error means but if MyDVD works as well as the rest of the suite, I would have guessed it was a corrupted install that a repair could fix. However, as you've already done this, I can only suggest another clean uninstall then a reinstall.

I wanted to avoid another clean install, but after I finally did it the problem was solved. Thanks!

Your welcome. Don't you wish the uninstall would get rid of all the entries the first time and not have to go through this?
