MyDVD 9 Crash at 0% encoding

Sam726

Question

Hi,

I recently installed Easy Media Creator 9 specifically for its video burning capabilities and i made a disk with an intro video and main video aswell as a menu and chapter selection. I then put in my DVD-R and clicked burn and it started to encode but hung at 0% without any movement from the preview box. I have enough space on my pc for burning and cant seem to find any probable faults.

I have an asus a6km laptop with 1.8Ghz Processor, 1Gb Ram, 100Gb HDD, Nvidia Geforce Go 7300 Graphics, 8x DVD-RW Burner (i think might be 16x).

Many other posts have said to install latest drivers but i cant seem to find a driver for my specific card. I tried downloading one but just said that it wasnt the right driver for my video card and terminated setup.

Does anyone know what the problem is or could help me in anyway by knowing where to get a recent driver for my graphics card. My Graphics card is on version 8.2.0.4 and hasnt been updated since 23/9/2005.

Thanks Heaps,

Sam726

According to the nvidia website, there is no such thing as a 7300 laptop... they show GeForce Go 7800/7900 laptops

You might also read down in the message thread where I talked about my problem, and see if the solution will help you

It definitely is a Geforce Go 7300 as when i go into my hardware manager and go to my graphics card it shows as a Geforce Go 7300.

That is a link for a cnet review of my laptop, it isnt my exact laptop as mine has better specs and is running XP Pro but shows that there is infact a Go 7300 graphics card.

Nvidia does infact show my card but i cant get a driver for it.

Hi again,

Thanks for the help but i managed to find a universal Nvidia driver and now it is encoding. I will try to re-find the link and put it up for anyone who is in the same situation and needs an Nvidia Driver.

Here is the link

http://www.ngohq.com/home.php?page=Files

it contains drivers for ATI Catalyst, Intel and Nvidia, aswell as Nvidia and ATI software and Realtek, VIA, Nvidia Omega, creative, nForce mix and nVMixer drivers and if you have any other graphics card just check there because it might just have it.

The Specific Nvidia one i used is linked here
