Project settings with Vista

GHMikeB

Question

I have been using Media Creator 9 for a few weeks with XP and have just installed Vista Premium 32 bit. Since the upgrade would not work I did a full install and seem to have avoided the problems others seem to have had.

However with MyDVD 9 if I open the project settings and change the aspect ratio of the menu to 16:9 and then click on the "Reset" button to change it for all projects, then on the "OK", it changes for the current project but not for the next. I have to reset it every time.

Anyone know what the problem is?

I suspect that it something to do with security settings in Vista as it originally prevented me changing programs that I wrote myself and required my setting the permission for the appropriate folder!

I had this problem for a long time in XP and one day, it just stuck. I don't know what happened or why this happens. I'm sure there's somewhere in the registry where this can be changed but I never took the time to find it since it starting working again.

Sorry, I have boobed

I must have done it 30-40 times and I have done it wrong each time!

Tick the box to "Set as default for all productions" and NOT "Reset all movies to use these settings" and Lo and Behold, it works.

I just assumed you had been doing that all along. Never did work for me. Mine just started one day.
