I get a Unrecovered read error- Medium error every time at 3% after it writes the tracks. I have tried other burners, and its the same. I am gonna try it again on the non sony burner.

I have success burning with mydvd, but not the Roxio Disc Copier

Update the firmware for your burner, first. If you still have the problem, change to a different brand/type of media.

I do have 2 different types of media that I have been interchanging, and have been getting the same error. I will update the firmware.

just reinstalled both firmwares, no go.! Same error.

hold on! On the 2nd try....its working...

And I am finding out, that it was the one disc I am trying to copy is the only one that is giving me problems. Not the others that i am trying to copy. So it must be a read error somewhere with this disc in particular.

You may find the disc you are trying to copy has some form of protection - seeming 'bad sectors' usually mess up copying programs, but the thing will play in a standard player - just will not copy (throwing up CRC errors)

You can check it out, using DVDInfoPro, which is included with EMC 9. If the disc has read errors, it will show them.

I compiled and burned the original myself with EMC9 today.
