Unwanted Audio On Video

ombois

Question

I have a Sony DCR TRV30 video camera and am using EMC7.5.

I use a firewire connection to my computer but do not know how to eliminate the audio on the tape.

When I had an analog camera I simply dicsconnected the audio input to the computer.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

The very basics are in the users guide and tutorials. The real meat and potatoes are here in this discussion group. I have learned more here than is on those pages or included in the tutioral.

So did I. That is why I post here now. I want to try to give back a little of what I have learned by reading, in these fourms.

Can you turn off the sound on the camera??

I can find nothing in the manual about how to turn off the sound.

The only thing I have is a volume control for the playback.

I will try to contact Sony to see if there is a way to turn off the sound.

You can take that video into VideoWave and turn the native volume all the way down. It is easy to do.

I looked but I could not find how you can do that. Where is that function at??

Put the video in Storyline, and right click on it. Then, click on Edit/Native Audio. In the box that opens, you will see a slider for overall volume. Move that slider all the way to the left, and it effectively mutes the native audio. Click on OK, and you are good to go.

Thanks, I might have known you had to right click somewhere along the line. Is this talked about in any of the tutorials or help manuals?

Anyway, thanks I will try it.
