You must have done something special to get Tiger on a Wallstreet. Mine is stuck with Jaguar as I understand that to be the last OS X version that supports the Wallstreet's hardware.

I'd stick with Toast 6.1.1 on that Mac in any case. I know Toast 8 requires a G4. Toast 7 may work with a G3 but its big advantage over Toast 6 is its video encoding for DVD and you don't want to do that often on such a slow Mac in the first place.

Thankyou Tsantee for the reply, yes after loading 7 on to the Wallstreet, which was accepted without hesitation, but wouldn't operate because of the requirement for a G4, (as with ver.8 you say) I then tried to load version 5 which looked for a classic system folder which isn't available, so I guessed ver.6 might be the answer, my wife only wants to do family photos to vcd and mp3 from itunes, its mainly to get her interested in computers generally, and anything to do with family photos or music catches her attention immediately, so thanks again for the info. Where does one pick up ver 6.1.1 ?

I searched the Roxio site and found where they still sell Toast 6 with Jam 6 for $199 (there's also a $30 mail-in rebate to lower the cost). That seems a bit stiff to me. You still can get lite version of Toast 6 bundled with several external DVD drives. LaCie is one of those and their site currently has a reconditioned Firewire drive for $79. The lite version will do the things you describe. Also you can look for someone selling their copy on eBay or elsewhere. The latest version for the lite version is 6.1.
