Cannot Burn DVD+R DL on 8.0.1

Question

Hi There,

I have a MacBook Pro, OSX 10.4.9, and an external Sony DRU-720a. I was able to burn to DVD+R DL successfully in Toast 8.0 - both single disc writes and multi disc spans. After installing 8.0.1, every attempt to burn a DL disc goes like this:

Set up the project

Select DL from the pop up

Click the red burn button

Insert media

Write begins, and then immediately goes to "Writing Lead Out"

I have no problem burning standard DVD-R with the sony.

HELP!!!

Thanks,

Andy

Andy,

I wanted to let you know I have opened a ticket on this issue (366154) as well as a seperate forum post (http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?showtopic=20809). I opened the latter just about 12 hours before you opened yours so it looks we are on the same wavelength.

I'm hoping we will get some help here soon - it's getting to be a drag with not being able to burn any DVDs.
