Will not start until I log off

RoMo17

Question

I have the downloaded version of Roxio Media Creator Suite 8.05. Before it worked fine :) . But time flies, and software are upgraded. New programs are installed.

Now, suddenly, without me knowing at what stage it happened  , Roxio will not start when I click the icon. I see no reaction at all. But when I log off my computor, suddenly  for a short while the red Roxio sign lights up, only to disappear as Windows closes down.

I have deinstalled, rebooted, and reinstalled a couple of times, but it does not help. There are no error messages appearing.

Just before the sign lights up, there usually is a dialog about some thing '.Net...' closing down.

Does anybody know what I am suffering from?

Please help! :(

Are you running Windows XP? Are you running Internet Explorer 7 (IE 7)? If you are running IE 7, you need to roll back to IE 6.

Well I seem to run out of my mind!

I just made a new try to start it - and now it DID!

And that though I use Windows XP - SP2 and IE 7 !

I don't know that I have done anyting but leaving the computor alone for a while, since the last, lost try!

Comutors are just getting more and more complex :(

Your problem could easily crop up again - Internet Explorer 7 changed the OS kernel and messed a lot of things up.

Roll it back to IE6 and if you prefer tabbed browsers, download and install Firefox from www.mozilla.com
