Toast 8.01

I got Toast 8.0 and set it up. Then I got the popup saying that 8.0.1 was available. I downloaded that and when I opened it the first time it asked me to go through the registration process again. When I get to the window that asks for my serial number I enter it but it won't accept it, the 'continue' button stays grayed out. I deleted 8.0.1 and redownloaded it again but it still won't accept my serial number. The original Toast 8.0 accepts the serial number and opens fine.

 

Any idea what the issue is?

Yes, that's how all the updates work with Toast 7, never had any problems updating Toast 7.

 

I tried all different ways, deleting and reinstalling 8.0 works fine when I enter the serial but when I download 8.0.1 and try to open it I get the registration setup window and it won't accept my serial in 8.0.1 even though 8.0 does fine.

Nope, still haven't got a solution. Have had an ongoing and I'm sorry to say useless dialog with Roxio support on the issue. Sorry to say they don't appear much interested in finding a solution either, mostly suggesting simple things that do not work, not to mention their turnaround is extremely long.

Did you drag Toast from the window that opened after the download to your Applications folder? When I do that the setup already has my registration information entered.

If you are getting an invalid CD Key error after the update, you will have to contact roxio directly. This is a user forum, and we can't help you with a CD Key problem.

Are you having the same problem as douglashh? Did you try contacting Roxio?
