Guest ml
r there was sonic solutions and roxio installed on it when i purchased the pc. but no cds or software cds came with it. irene Since the Sonic and Roxio programs came preinstalled on your new computer, you need to contact the manufacturer of the PC. Usually if there are problems, there will be solutions on the computer manufacturer's website under Customer Support. If there is no solution posted, contact the PC manufacturer. They will know what version of the programs are installed on their computers and should help you with finding a fix. This isn't Roxio Tech Support. We're all just end users of the program as you are. REDWAGON
Not sure about this, but when you buy a new computer and it doesn't come with any restore discs or other program discs for the pre-installed programs, sometimes that information is stored on a separate partition of place on the hard drive. You might want to check that. But if not then ml is sure right about contacting the manufacturer of the computer for any problems. BTW, if I'm correct, any new computers are required to have some way to get the computer restored to it's original condition. As far as pre-installed programs, IMHO, they should also include either an actual disk or a way of downloading those programs from their website. The fact that you are running Vista is probably a good reson that some of your pre-installed programs don't work correctly with Sonic or Roxio programs. Now that you mention it....... under the Start menu on one of my computers that did not come with recovery cds is a folder called System Recovery. In that System Recovery folder is an Driver & Application Recovery program that allows reinstallation of the original programs. I'd try the manufacturer's website first because they may have issued a software update to solve the 'missing files....' problem. They usually have a FAQ area and they may advise you to repair or reinstall the programs using their recovery options. They will also have information on system recovery that you need to know. Whatever you do, I'd suggest you do it quickly because most manufacturer's don't offer telephone support for software for very long.
