Creating DVD from movie clips

Trying to learn this program, and having trouble. I captured from my DV. There are 21 clips on this DV tape. After capturing, I renamed each clip for what it is in the captured screen Then I went into MyDVD, and "add new movie". I highlighted each renamed movie clip. They were put into the project view and seperated into several menus. But the names of these clips did not transfer. Am I now supposed to go into the project view and rename each captured video clip here also? It seems like a whole lot of work. How come the names of the clips didn't tranfer?

What you are describing simply cannot happen…

 

If you have one capture file – Capture.mpg and from that file you export 3 clips – Clip1.mpg, Clip2.mpg & Clip3.mpg.

 

Now you use MyDVD, Add Title and choose Clip1.mpg it will be named Clip1.mpg.

 

Add Title and choose Clip2.mpg, it will be named Clip2.mpg, etc.

 

However if you add 3 separate Titles and choose Capture.mpg for all 3, all 3 will be named Capture.mpg and will consist of the same full content of Capture.mpg.

 

Of course you can rename any Title by simply clicking on it to edit the name.

In MyDVD when you click "Add Title" one menu button is created. If you select multiple clips each clip will be included under that Title but it will take the name of the first clip.

 

If you use Add Title for each of the 21 clips, you will get 21 menu buttons! (assuming the Style will allow that many)

 

I do not see any other way for the program to work, it cannot read your mind.

 

Perhaps if you would describe what you would like the end result to look like, someone can advise how you should proceed to get there.

 

I am still stuck. When I "add title", even if I add each clip individually, it takes on the name of the captured video file, not the name of the clip. So each button in the menu is listed with the same name, when I would like for it to be listed with the name of the clip that it was given.
