HD Adobe PSD layer into menu

Kirson

Question

Hi,

I wondered if anyone has managed to get this working.

When I create a HD spec menu (1920x1080) with Background and Overlay layers when I import them into a menu they are totally distorted....

The background image is truncated at the bottom of the screen and my overlay images are about 100 times bigger than the original.

Can I manually create a subpicture for my over lays instead as I am just overlaying on a motion video so just need to create a highlight area for each text over my video ?

Thanks

_1080.jpg or .png or .bmp or maybe psd. this is for button objects, not backgrounds. basically, the application recognizes _1080 or _720 as having been designed for that sized background and then scales

the button object down or up accordingly based on the size of the background graphic or video when you drag the button object onto the menu you are designing.

OK will try that out.

try changing the menu view option in the "menu attributes" window to stretch. It is probably on zoom.

as far as manual creation of subpictures, you certainly can do that. in fact, here is an unknown tip for you. if you create graphics to fit onto a 1920x1080 menu background, you can name them with _1080 at the end. that way, if the graphics are brought onto a 1280x720 or a 720x480 background, they will automatically be properly sized.

Worked like a dream, it was the zoom. when you advise using the _1080 could you confirm the file extension stays as jpg or PSD.
