mpg2 Activation: Try This

I, too, tried everything. The instructions to do a clean install and then manual activation does not work. I even did a complete rebuild of Windows. Still nothing

 

I then read in some tread that activation was random. So, I tried opening and closing Videowave several times. Still no luck.

 

Don't ask me why, but, then, for some reason I rolled back the computer date 1 month. I then opened Videowave, and VOILA!!..I got the instruction to activate, and it worked!

 

I don't know if this was just dumb luck, but you may want to give it a try.

Knowing Roxio it was probably luck. I finally got the activation to work (after doing the clean install) but then had to ANOTHER clean install (per Roxio online chat support instructions) because once it activated Videowave would not run properly. Imagine that....So it is working correctly now; at least for this week. Next week something else may go out and I will have to perform Clean Install...again...

hi... ok .... how do I do the clean install? this activation problem I'm having is so annoying.... how am I suppose to activate a 29 digit key when the CD key is only 17 digits.... am I just a total retard that is missing the point or what?

Actually, you keep the screen up that tells you to go to the Internet and get the 20+ digit activation key. Connect to the internet, and get that key, then enter it into the box on the screen that you left open. Click activate, or whatever it says. It worked for me, the first time, when I did off-line activation.

well I don't actually know what happened but.... I decided to have a play around with the slideshow and after I made it... I went to save it.. and it said... it needed to be activated ... so I clicked ok and much to my surprise it activated....

 

I'm just glad it activated cause it was so frustrating

LOL! Strange things do happen. I am glad you got it activated.
