EMC 9 VideoWave 9

I am having a big problem..

Every time I am opening EMC 9 with:

Start - All Programs - Roxio EMC 9

I am getting the EMC 9 logo

and then it does not open and I get this error message:

VideoWave 9 has encountered a problem and needs to close

and EMC 9 closes down?????

I don't understand

Not sure rosieo if you have the same problem on your XP computer but if you have "VISTA" on the other one that very well could be your problem at least on that computer. Sometime soon there is supposed to be an update coming out that will give EMC 9 total compatability with Vista but there are still programs in EMC 9 that are having problems because of having Vista running on their computer.

 

And prior versions of EMC just won't handle Vista at all.

Thanks for your help and all the "Gurus" involved in helping out

like us mere mortals....

Success at last..

I had to uninstall DivX and install an updated version

and did not have to touch EMC 9 at all

and keeping fingers Xed..everything is in working order.

I am having the same problem with videowave. I get an error stating videowave has encountered a problem and needs to close. This problem is on both my desktop computer which is running Windows XP and my laptop Windows Vista.

 

Where did you find the update for DivX?

Try going into Control Panel, Add/Remove programs, and select the Change option for EMC 9 and do the Repair choice.
