pammosk
I got the following message when attempting to burn a backup of my documents. The drive reported an error: Same Key = ILLEGAL REQUEST Sense Code= 0X24 INVALID FIELD IN CDB When I clicked OK the burn continued with the verification and then appeared to finish successfully. What does this message mean? Should I be concerned about the validity of my backup? Thanks
alexatrox
This is usually caused by compatibility with your burner/media. Try the following to see if it helps: 1. Try using a better grade media (disc). 2. Get the most updated firmware for your drive. You can obtain firmware updates from the manufacturer of your drive. 3. Lower your burn speed to 1X or lowest setting. 4. Clean your drive's laser lens.
Question
pammosk
I got the following message when attempting to burn a backup of my documents.
The drive reported an error:
Same Key = ILLEGAL REQUEST
Sense Code= 0X24
INVALID FIELD IN CDB
When I clicked OK the burn continued with the verification and then appeared to finish successfully.
What does this message mean? Should I be concerned about the validity of my backup?
Thanks
