Question

just got back from a wedding and wanted to start editting my dvd from my sony hanycam. After capture, Roxio (7.5) captured the entire 35 scenes as a single video, without the scenes separated .Havent done this in a few months but i am sure i have captured scenes before.what do i need todo to actually capture the scene by scene---i want to drop in jpegs and transiton slides.I know i can do a series of splits, but thats alot more time consuming compared to just moving scenes around thanks--bob

Using Manual Capture, it's always going to capture it as a single video, but there may be scenes within that video.

If there is a 'down' arrow on the video, click on that and you'll see the scenes.

If there is no down arrow, switch to the Collections view (blue book icon), right click on the video in the Media Collections and do a 'Scene detect.'

You could also recapture the video using the Smart Scan feature which captures by scenes.

Yes. It's in the Capture window.

You should have the option to either capture manually or using Smart Scan.

But this may depend on if you have an OEM version or a purchased version.
