I have an Intel Mac Mini, running OSX 10.4.9 with all the latest updates from Apple (as of earlier today).
I have a downloaded (i.e. paid for!) copy of Toast 8.0 and the latest 8.0.1 update.
I followed the installation instructions - unpacked the version 8.0 dmg file, dragged toast into the apps folder, double clicked on toast - it bounces in the dock bar for a few seconds and vanishes.
I ran the update to 8.0.1, same thing. Bear in mind I've not got as far as running toast setup, not entered any serial numbers etc yet.
I went to the Roxio website and looked up troubleshooting. I've tried:
Checking for latest OSX updates
Checking for latest toast updates
Firmware on mac mini - I'm using the internal superdrive, no firmware available for it
No firewire/USB devcies plugged in at all, I'm running via VNC from my PC
There are no roxio files in /library/preferences
I don't get this. I've re-installed OSX to see what's going on, still no joy. Is this a compatability issue with OSX10.4.9 or an intel issue or something else?
