DVC 90

tbrewst

Question

For those using the DVC90 under Vista you might try going to Pinnacle's website and searching for PCLEUSB2 v1.0.10 beta. These are supossed to be drivers that were released 4/20/07 that pass in Vista per Pinnacle.I haven't tried them yet but would like to know if they help anyone with capture problems with the DVC90 under Vista.

:angry2: SAME HERE, I HAVE RECEIVED MY ORDER YESTERDAY AND I WAS SO EXCITED, JUST TO FIND OUT THAT DVC90 DOES NOT WORK WITH VISTA 64 BIT. I THOUGHT I WAS SEEING WRONG SERIOUSLY. I AM VERY DISSAPOINTED AS ITS NO SECRET THAT THE DELUXE QUITE IS VISTA CERTIFIED. AM I WRONG IN EXPECTING THE DAZZLE DVC90 TO WORK? ITS A KIT, ISN'T IT. THIS WILL MAKE ME GO CRAZY, SERIOUSLY.

AND THE SOLUTION??? SEEMS THAT YOU NEED TO TURN BACK THE CLOCK TO WINDOWS XP. IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!!! I WANT A SOLUTION OR MY MONEY BACK.

What version of Roxio are you using?I now have V9.1.068 and the drivers from Pinnacle and my DVC90 is now working.I do know one other person that has the same combination and theirs still doesn't work though.

As far as getting your money back you'll have to talk to Roxio about that.No one here can help with that.

I will check it out, its at home... I received it yesterday direct from them, so I guess it should be brand spanking new. After my incompatible driver message I installed the 32bit driver as it was the only one. It worked but without sound. All I want is for it to work, desperately. :(

To tell the truth Neil I didn't snap to the 64 bit part of the post.I don't know if they have them or not.I'm still using the one I shared with you and it works just fine with 9.1.It was you I was refering to when I said I knew some one.

Thanks Tom, i thought so, any idea if Pinnical will release a vista 64 bit version of the DV90 drivers?

Unfortunately the Dazzle DVC90 drivers are not compatible with 64 bit Vista.

This is not an issue that depends on the version of Easy Media Creator at all... it has only to do with the Dazzle device driver.

If you purchased Easy Media Creator 9 Deluxe with the Dazzle device and you are running 64 bit Vista please contact Roxio support to discuss your options.

As for the support, I have tried contacting Roxio support. I can not find an email address. If I log on, all option I have is a livechat. I am from South Africa, so this is a bit difficult. Nevertheless, I tried this the other night, and guess what - no one responded to my livechat. ..... I also sent an email to the refund address, and guess what the answer was... contact technical support. If I only knew how. Phoning is out of the question.

Try this link.It should give you a few different choices to contact them, including e-mail.

i just spoke to tech support at pinnacle. they told me that the dvc 90 capture device is not compatible with other companies software besides their own. they also told me that they will have update drivers for their software in may. as of now no compatible software. except for their latest which would be an extra expense which i'm not going to pay since i've already spent enough for my system and capture kit. it's a BUMMER. i'm talking about drivers for vista

Typical - a customer of mine spent some very serious money one time on a capture system from Pinnacle and then found out that they wouldn't support it under XP. This was a full YEAR after XP came out

If you have 9.0, we're all waiting for a patch to bring it up to 9.1 Hopefully we won't have to wait that much longer (it's already quite a time overdue).

You will be notified of its availability here or via the suite updater (can't be certain because no-one has seen it yet)

Ok,got Vista reinstalled and the results are pretty much the same.I can get the drivers to install but I still only get video,no audio when capturing. Also it only captures for about 5 seconds and then fails.
