clean audio

Question

First off I would like to say that the support from Roxio stinks.

When ever I try to edit native audio, it takes a while to load. Once loaded I click clean audio, a new window comes up, clicking on the sound field gives me a white box, red header and nothing. Clicking the play buttons gets not action, clicking add filter gives about 3 seconds on peace then the app crashes. Microsoft is reporting an issue with vwcommonsdll.dll.

When this app goes down it takes any running app with it.

Any clues!

I am apparently having the same problem When I select the clean function. The Videowave app hangs up.When I check with "Task Manager" it shows "Not Responding".

No answer, but still looking. It I find a solution, I'll post it. Please you do the same. OK?

You might try closing those OTHER apps, before trying again, to see if that makes a difference.

You might find it better to extract the native audio in Videowave ( click add photo/video, navvigate to the file you want, do not load the video, but right click on the file, click extract audio), then use Sound editor and/or SoundSoap to clean it. Then add the cleaned version to the video file on an external track in Videowave and mute the internal sound track. Use .wav as the file type to avoid compression losses. Sound editor has many more options to clean the sound, including a very expanandable time scale so you can apply corrections to tightly specified portions of the sound track. SoundSoap is good for broadband background noise reduction.
