Takes forever to load edit video

Hello,

 

I have had this program for several months now, I had installed and uninstalled it several times,

due to not being able to use it properly.

 

Whenever I try to load any edit feature it takes forever, it takes more than five minutes. I installed the patch but still same problem. I have enough memory.

 

 

OS windows xp professional

 

instaslled memory 2 gb

 

hard drive total capacity 298 gb

 

please help!

Where is the video you are using in Videowave coming from ? captured from your camcorder, captured from other device or what ?? How long, time wise, is the video you added to your videowave production ? And I assume you are using Videowave to do the editing and not some other program. A little mnore information would help

Another consideration is the format of the source clip. AVIs breeze through whereas mpg take a lot more CPU horsepower and even then tend to drag the whole system down.
