transition & photo times to view

each time I put in what time I want a transition to be and/or a photo to be viewed (videowave,1st made in slideshow), it shows the change as I type, but, doesn't accept or keep the time I've chosen

what am i doing wrong?

The transition duration time will not be "kept" if the duration time of the images on either side of the transition are not long enough.

For example, if the image duration time is 4 secs then you cannot have a transition time of 2 secs. You can play around with this to determine the max or min time to use for transition durations.
