Transitions

Cher

Question

is there any way to select more than 1 (but not all) transitions to make those certain effects?

Creator 9 (videowave) doesn't seem to have usability to select (ctrl) more than 1.

Also, is there not a way of selecting a 'random' selection for transitions for all? then go & change which ones you want? Seems that you have to do each one separately OR use Transition Theme, which doesn't seem to have a 'random' choice.... :(

thanks

Cher

To my knowledge, Videowave does not have the capability to select multiple transitions/effects to make "batch" changes. As you already know from a previous post, you can change the duration of all the transitions or just one at a time, but that is it.

Videowave does have a Random transition theme selection IF your system (specifically the video card) is capable of hardware rendering. If you do not see the random option, you are probably in software mode, and random is not available. To check, open videowave, click Tools>Options. Click the Graphics Test button at the top and let the program analyze you system. You will not receive any notification message when the analysis is complete, but either the Hardware or Software button will be checked. If Software is highlighted, random transition theme, among others, will not be available.

Hope that helps

Thanks Merv

I just updated my video graphics driver, so that's helping a few probs. Also, thanks for the info. I did find that I selected a transition theme, and it gave all the types in (say: disolve), going thru each one for photo effect (pan/zoom ect), and also changing a some of the transitions. have finally figured it out.

Now just have to learn how / what to use for output for DVD movie and change the size of my photos to fit in the TV safe zone. (got image cropper from a prev posting, but, having trouble being able to view the complete program on my monitor, having to re-adjust the settings......geesh! Easier to just go into my photo program and batch resize! lol (diff program)

I believe my hardware is capable of rendering & it did it's test, I've rendered other movies in different program (arcsoft, pretty easy to use, but, not as many choices)

Cheers,

Cher

There are two versions: one for monitors 1024X768 or lower, and one version for those with 1280X1024 or higher monitor settings. Download the appropriate Image Cropper.
