Newbie questions--how to add more than one title?

JMK

Question

Hi, I have Roxio EMC9 bundled with my new HP computer with Vista. I have a couple of probably stupid questions, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to do these things and can't find anything in help.

1. How can I add more than one film to the same DVD? I have a couple of public domain titles that I want to put on the same DVD. Doing this on my standalone DVD burner is easy--I copy one item, then the next. I can't see how to do this with EMC. I tried saving images and using My DVD to "add another movie," but My DVD does not recognize the image formats so I can't even add one, let alone two. What am I missing?

2. Is there some way to add automatic chapters if my source DVD does not already have chapters? What about a title if the source DVD doesn't have a title? I've only been successful using "Copy Disc" so far, which of course duplicates the original, including no chapter stops and no title.

Thanks for any help you can lend. I may be back with more stupid questions later. :D

Be aware that your OEM version may have limited abilities.

To create a DVD with more than one movie:

Open MyDVD

Add your first movie that creates a button

Add your second movie for the second button

Burn

My DVD does not recognize the image formats
What do you mean by 'image' format? MyDVD does not load 'image' files. Sounds like you have already burned DVDs. You can import the DVDs using Media Import if they are not copy protected or use the VOB files from the disc.

Is there some way to add automatic chapters if my source DVD does not already have chapters?
When you add your movie file to a MyDVD project, just right click on the button and 'Edit Chapter'. This feature may not be available in the OEM version.
