Converting Videos for a Video Ipod

Vulgan

Question

Since the trial version of EMC 9 does not let you use the Ipod setting to convert video I thought I would start this thread.

I currently us Videora Ipod Converter to convert my videos into Ipod format. I'm verry happy with it and I do not have any problems with it.

However, I'm looking forward to uninstalling the program since it takes up over 1 GB of hard drive space. I hope EMC 9 will do a good job at converting files for me to the point that I would be willing to get rid of Videora.

How are your experiances going with EMC 9 for converting videos for your Video Ipod?

The EMC 9 install disc at 638mb and the content disc at 472mb, things aren't going to change much!

cd

I was referring to Videora. It would be nice if I can get rid of it and just be able to work exclusivly with EMC 9.

I converted about 20 minutes of a recorded TV show. I do not own a Video IPod but my neighbors son does. I put the file on a USB flash drive a went over to his house last night (pegged a free beer off of him too :D (my neighbor, not his son))

Used ITunes to load the file and the IPod wouldn't play it. I don't know why and I don't know where the problem lays. The IPod owner has never used any video on his device.

This responce will bump the thread back up to the top so maybe someone with more experience with this part of the suite will see it and be able to shed a bit more light on it.

I dont have a video iPod. So I cant be of much help (my ipod is 2nd gen). If you want though, you could write to the CEO and tell them I need one :D.

Hopefully someone else here has some experience and they can give you some insight.

John.... I believe that the OP's question needs an answer. There is no question in my mind that the CEO should get one for you. While you are asking the CEO, see if you can get two. If your too busy to try it out, I'll give it a lash when mine arrives.

An 80GB black would be my preference with a few accessories.
