Roxio easy dvd/cd creator 6 supported files?...

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure what it is you are asking, but presuming you want to convert a mpeg4 file to the vob format for playing in a set-top DVD player, I don't think that that ECD6 allowed the rendering of video files - that came along in EMC7.

You could probably write it to a Data DVD, but there is a specialized format needed to create a Video DVD that can be played on a DVD player.

Before considering whether you want to get a newer burning program that is capable of handling .mp4, check the system requirements of the program, and whether your system meets them.

Thanks, I thought so, just needed confirmation.

I have version 9 which I think supports mp4 but I am getting error "A problem has been detected with your sound device. There may be no sound device installed on your computer..." when I launch it and select "Create DVD".

I have checked my PCs devices and the sound cards are not erroring.

Can someone advise, please?

Thanks

You didn't say what sound system you have, but if you check in Device Manager it should identify it.

Then, go to the maker's website (not the MS updates) and get the latest drivers from them.

That sounds like a problem with the audio drivers - check on the website for new drivers for your sound card.
