Lala1974
Hi, I am trying to burn an mp4 file to a dvd in a dvd format. Does Roxio easy cd/dvd creator version 6 support mp4 files? Thanks
gi7omy
I'm not sure what it is you are asking, but presuming you want to convert a mpeg4 file to the vob format for playing in a set-top DVD player, I don't think that that ECD6 allowed the rendering of video files - that came along in EMC7. lynn98109
You could probably write it to a Data DVD, but there is a specialized format needed to create a Video DVD that can be played on a DVD player. Before considering whether you want to get a newer burning program that is capable of handling .mp4, check the system requirements of the program, and whether your system meets them. Lala1974
Thanks, I thought so, just needed confirmation. I have version 9 which I think supports mp4 but I am getting error "A problem has been detected with your sound device. There may be no sound device installed on your computer..." when I launch it and select "Create DVD". I have checked my PCs devices and the sound cards are not erroring. Can someone advise, please? Thanks
gi7omy
You didn't say what sound system you have, but if you check in Device Manager it should identify it. Then, go to the maker's website (not the MS updates) and get the latest drivers from them.

Thanks That sounds like a problem with the audio drivers - check on the website for new drivers for your sound card. .
