Recommended Posts

so i updated my Easy CD and DVD Creator 6 with the the following patch pxengine2_08_40d and now i get "TrackWriter error—wait failed" on only one of my two drives. No probs with the other using the same media.

Never had problems before and i can burn on the same drive un evented with WMP.

I've even installed a new burner but no change.

any body have any ideas.

I've read all of the cleaning the lens ideas and don't think that the right fix.

Thanks

I'm curious as to why you installed the patch if the suite was working.

Perhaps if you do a clean uninstall and re-install, this time leaving the patch out, it may work.

Hello

When i do that i get the no drives message then on goes the patch so its was a must have.

Here's the kicker:

1 I can copy to and from the drive that has the issuse with disc copier

2 I can play back unevented and transfer music from the drive

3 and windows media player works just fine burning etc. on the drive.

confused? me too.

Both Internet Explorer 7 and Windows Media Player 11 are known to "break" Roxio Version 6, 7, 7.5, and 8 because of changes made deep within the Opearting System.

Turn back to IE 6 and WinPlayer 10 and that should solve your problems.

Yes a long time ago?

Whats the logic?

The logic is that they both wreck Roxio suites up to and including EMC8 (and also cause problems on EMC9).

Both were designed for Vista and make fundamental changes to the XP OS kernel
