i want to just copy a few scenes from a dvd--i know how to capture the whole thing and do splits, but is there a way to just capture 4 minutes from a 60 minute dvd,or do i have to capture the whole thing then edit??thanks--bob

I have to capture the entire DVD and then edit. Sorry. I wish there was a way to capture only segments, but I haven't found a way.

Thanks--just didnt want to thru all the time it takes--i was thinking though,i do have a Go Video unit that converts VHS to DVD and vic versa, i think i can just copy the scene to VHS and then go the other way to get a scene onto DVD.bob

Perhaps you could copy the vob file containing the segment you want from the DVD to your hard drive, change the extension vob to mpg and then load the mpg file into Videowave and edit the video to keep only the segment you want. It should be faster then capturing the whole DVD or copying to VHS (with loss of quality)
