Trimming original video capture

magidale

Question

I am rather new to EMC 9. I have captured video clips easily through my capture card and have created video files. Some of them now are longer than I want them to be and I want to be able to trim this original file. Is there a way to do this to the original file wihout creating a production? Seems simple but I haven't been able to figure it out.

To answer your question, yes and no. You can take that file into VideoWave and edit out the parts that you don't want and then output it as an .avi or .mpeg file.

Now, if it is an .mpeg file, from your capture card, you are better off using a program called VideoReDo. It isn't free, but you can cut out portions of mpeg files, faster than in VideoWave.

If the captured files are .avi, use VideoWave.
