Error and shutdown of program when trying to boot up Roxio Creator 8

I have windows xp home with service pack 2 an atholon 64 3200+ processor 3 gigs of ram. When I try to boot up Roxio creator 8 I get a windows error and it shuts down I have tried to run other ways but won't burn a CD. I can view DVD's without any problem. Has anyone had any experience with this issue and if so what can I do to fix it??

If you have Internet Explorer 7 and/or Window's Media Player 11 installed, get rid of them and see if that fixes things.
