MyDVD Freezing

Question

I bought Easy CD and DVD Burning...I am trying to burn some files onto a dvd....I already changed them from avi to mpeg...but....when I click burn it goes to the encoding screen and sits there...and sits there ...and sits there...and then when I click cancle it freezes and I have to manually shut it down...I have run out of ideas and tried the suggestions I've been able to find...i have the newer version of Easy CD DVD and my computer is

 

HP

AMD Athalon Dual Core 3800

NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE Graphics

1024 MB memory

200GB Hard Drive

Windows XP

 

I am at a loss...please help!

Your problem could be the graphics on the computer - there have been a lot of problems with that particular chipset.

 

Having said that, try to get the latest nVidia drivers and also try software rendering. If that still fails, you may want to consider a dedicated graphics card in place of the one you have

Daithi is right about that video chip. I have a question. Why did you convert the .avi file to an .mpeg file? AVI files are much better to work with, and the quality is better than the .mpeg file.

 

MyDVD will convert the file to a DVD movie compliant file, so you don't have to do that yourself.

when I tried to use the avi files it wouldn't even let me add them to the project...don't know exactly what was happening.
