Would these be divx or xvid files? You might benefit from this tip

Yes i have this problem too.

My Xvid files are shown as X marks, and i cant add them.

And they are get played on Media Player, Bsplayer and VLC.

Will the link fix the problem ? http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?showtopic=8841

I really want to edit my Xvid files as a cool menu + music.

When i click properties on the Avi file it says Xvid Compression.

It has for just about everyone that has followed the directions....and that includes me. Each time you update divx, you may have to do this.

The person that posted that did it one step at a time and that's the best way to do it. Take your time and simply follow along. It does take a bit of concentration the first time.

Send me your email address in a private message and I'll email you a divxdec.ax file. The only confusing part is the upper case/lower case part which you have to pay attention to as it does make a difference.

Btw , why i can only add only 1 movie or at least 2 cds for one movie ? when i burnt the movies as data i could burn all of them, at least 5 movies.

and improtant question, how and where can i put subtitles files, SRT ones so they will work with the movie?

thanx in advance.

Depends on how you use them. If you burn them as a data file, you can fit more on a disc but can only view them on your computer or a divx player. If you want to watch them on a standard dvd player, they have to be made dvd compliant which requires uncompressing the highly compress divx file into better quality mpeg files. More time and space are needed.

Yes, i do have a Divx, Xvid Dvd player connected to the TV.

Is there any possiblity to burn them as DATA with menu ? my dvd reads xvid, i dont need them to be MPEG uncompressed.

so what about the subtitles, how can i add it to the movie?

** EDIT

K, i upgraded to the Deluxe version, and now i can add the files.

but the 2 question are being my main problem now.
