Basic questions if I may

Hello everyone. I have some basic questions. I'm a recent convert from DVDWorkshop to DVDit and I've been looking for a few features not being sure if they are even available. I don't see them in the manual but I thought I'd ask.

 

Is there a way to one click chapter points so that for example over a 1hr dvd random chapter points can be evenly spread?

 

I have also noticed that DVDit is kind of limited on the supplied backgrounds and buttons. Is there a simple source link for additional ones or do we have to create them from scratch?

 

Lastly, is there a module within DVDit Pro 6 that allows capture from DV device? I thought that was something in earlier versions.

there is no automatic chapter setting, but setting them is as easy as dragging the playhead in the timeline and pressing the "insert" button on your keyboard or pressing that "insert" button as you watch the preview of the video.

 

make sure you are looking at all of the filters for buttons ans such. at the top of the palette, you will see a pull down menu. there are button objects, button video and button images. there are also a lot of navigation buttons. what version are you using. 6.1 and 6.3 have significantly more than 6.0

I'm using 6.0 whatever the original disk was. I don't have an internet connection on my editing PC. Is the update as simple as a file download that I could transfer to my other computer?

 

Also, I'm not finding a capture module. I was told that vers. 5 had it. Not that that is really important, but it is curious.

no capture in 6.0 was none in 5.0 either.
