getting rid of adverts

Beginner

Question

I am a complete beginner with Roxio 9 and have a programme recorded off an ITV channel on my machine as an MPG file. It is 2 hours long and I want to get rid of the adverts and then burn it on to a DVD.

I loaded the whole thing into VideoWave 9 and seem to have managed to get rid of the ads by using the trim "scissors" and have finished up with six separate files numbered 1 to 6 which the programme saved as DMSM files However I cannot get these back into the Production Editor all at once.

Have I been wasting my time in this and is there another methood I can use. I have tried the User Guide but it does not offer much help.

Please can someone advise me.

A dmsm file is the project file and it includes everything connected to the project. You are correct in that you can only load one dmsm file into VW at one time.

If you started with One file and cut it into 6 clips and saved, the dmsm would load all 6 clips.

It sounds more like you loaded the clip, trimmed and saved 6 separate times???

If you have 6 and want to combine them, open MyDVD. Select Add Title and select all 6 clips. They will load under one menu button.
