It's a packet writer.

Original idea was it that you could just drop files onto a media and be able to use it on other systems.

Burns as it copies.

Faster than burning the data.

And has slightly less reliabilty than an igloo on the equator - same holds for ALL packet-writing s/w

D2D works just fine for me on VISTA. However, keep these ideas in mind when using D2D:

1. Use a quality CD or DVD media.

2. Full format the CD or DVD.

3. Do not burn past the rated CD or DVD's manufacturer's media rating. If the media says 4x then burn at 4x.

4. Use a quality and recommended CD or DVD drive.

5. Keep the CD and DVD drive firmware up-to-date.

6. Keep your software up-to-date.

It may work fine (it usually does) but never overlook the fact that a few months down the line you are quite likely to find your discs are unreadable - that is the big problem with packet writing

That's most likely if you're using RW (erasable) media. R (write once) media doesn't suffer from that issue so much.
