iMovie chapter markers not recognized by Toast

Tomtom

Question

I read somewhere that when burning a DVD-Video with Toast 7 from an iMovie-Project, the chapter markers set in iMovie are recognized by Toast. But it's the same as with Toast 6: They are not recognized and set "automatically" each 5 minutes. Might be the problem is the version of iMovie I'm using. I have tried 4.0 and 4.0.1 till now.

Is there anybody who can successfully export his chapter markers to Toast 7? With which version of iMovie?

Thanks in advance!

I don't recall what works with iMovie 4. How is the iMovie project organized? With iMovie 6 there is a single project file that can be dropped into Toast and Toast automatically knows which file to get. But manually I can control-click to show the package contents and go inside the folder titled iDVD. In it is a .mov file that Toast can use that has the chapter markers from iMovie.

Thanks tsantee for your reply!

In iMovie 4 there are 2 files, one is the .mov file which is used by toast. If I open this .mov file with QuickTime Player, it is not possible to jump to a next chapter. So it seems the problem is in the old version of iMovie, or? And as you said it works with iMovie 6, so I will update.
