I am trying to use the import function to put capture my home Sony DV videos to my hard drive. My ultimate goal is to play (either stream or USB connect) them on my widescreen tv via a media player. I tried the Linksys Media Extender but it supposedly only support bit rates of 4 or less. I barely know about bit rates but I think I want the best quality videos so I probably need higher bit rates than 4.
Question 1 - How can I import in WMV 9 or MPEG 2 with a bit rate of 4 or less?
Question 2 - does anyone know of a media player that can handle any bit rate or at least rates higher than 4?
