The Big Freeze

Ivor

Question

I am using a new Dell, running XP; fast, lotsa Gigs, no problems with other programs on the computer...except emc9. it hangs, freezes, seizes, what ever it absolutely freezes the entire system, even the Task manager cannot shut it down. Just 6 seconds on the power button does the trick. and this is the norm for this program! I have only used the audio potion of the program and it freezes when using the music disc program or at the opening page where you select what program you are to use!

Wha' happen? I had emc7 and it was as reliable as clockwork?!?! but this is just a pain!

now what, dump the program go back to cassettes?

I'm having a similiar problem. Music Disk Creator used to work but now it just freezes on the opening screen. Have you found any solutions?

If it originally worked and stopped, you need to ask yourself what you may have installed round the time it packed in

If you didn't install anything, run a malware/spyware sweep to make sure you haven't picked up any spyware and also derfarg the hard drive

Oh, This just in. to add to the pile of issues this software has I just got this "Application Error" window that closed the program

It goes...

"The instruction at "0x00000002" reference memory at "0x00000002". The memory could not be "read" Click on OK to terminate the program"

How sweet huh?

Ya know...if the program's gonna lob some kinda message at you when it takes over your computer, ya think it would be one you could either understand or diagnose.

Has anyone got a clue about this latest error message is about.

I have 3 spy ware programs on the computer and have run a scan for each. other wise all other programs are running fine

I take it by the paucity of responses that I'm getting here, I've "stumped the band."

and yet a new error message comes up when I click OK on the aforementioned window,

IT goes...

Microsoft visual C++ runtime Library

"Runtime error!

Program C:\Program Files\Roxio\audio master 9\music disc creator 9.exe\

R6025

-Pure Virtual Function Call

Nice Huh? And How are your folks?
