I just recently bought my Canon DC50, and it came with roxio software. I guess I am supposed to use that software to get my footage onto my computer. The first night I clicked "Open Disc" and it let me import a small 15 second clip i was using to test it out. That worked fine. The next day I try to upload 30 minutes worth of footage and when I clicked "Open Disc" it would go to import the video, but at the end of the progress bar/meter, it would come up with an error message saying " " and then close out of the program all on it's own.
By this time, I decided to try different things, so I made a backup version of my dvd and then tried using that to get my video on my computer. I used the "open project" button (next to save) and selected the DVD (backup copy), and selected the file ".vob ". It imported my video to my laptop, but then while trying it on my desktop, it would say "this is not a valid mydvd project file"
So what I am asking, is there any other way I can get my video to my computer besides roxio?
