DivXDec.ax

Like many people I'm trying to get EMC 9 running under Vista to recognize avi files. Several referances instruct to repair or re-install the application to get the file DivXDec.ax to show up in Windows/System 32. After several days and several attempts DivXDec.ax just won't come of hiding (yes-I removed divxdec.ax first)!

 

How can I get my hands on this file so I can finally start using EMC 9?

I seem to be having the same issues as everyone else. I have Roxio MyDVD 9.0 and whenever I try to take an .avi file there is a red X that will not let me use the file. I have tried to repair the problem but it does not work and the only file is the divxdec.avi the other one is not present. I have been struggling at this for weeks and have no clue what to do. Can anyone help?
