Slideshow Size On Emc8

dpeteual1

Question

I am not sure what they have done to MyDVD 8 in EMC 8 but it is terrible compared to MyDVD 6.1. I tried to make a DVD using EMC 8 that contained 7 slideshows and 4 short movie clips. It would not fit on a DVD because it was too large. I deleted the movie clips and made the DVD and it worked but was very slow rendering and burning the DVD. I then made the same DVD with the slideshows and the movie clips on MyDVD 6.1. The total disk space used was 660 MB and the quality of the slides was better than with EMC 8 and the movies played flawlessly. Also the MyDVD DVD contained the original .jpg pictures which I could copy to my hard drive if I wanted to print an individual picture. The MyDVD 8 did not contain the original pictures.

I could not find a question in your statement so I'm going to add one.

Q How do I save the original images I used in a slide show on a DVD?

A In My DVD go to file/project settings and select archive photos. BTW, while you are there, take a look at the right hand side. Select best rather than the default fit on disc. Burn the project to an ISO file and then copy that to a disc (fit on disc). That way the project is rendered in best quality and then shrunk down to fit it on the disc.
